An Author’s Path from Scripture to Poetry

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on March 17, 1957, Reginald Love’s journey is one of remarkable perseverance and purpose. From humble beginnings to becoming a celebrated minister and poet, Reginald’s life story reflects unwavering determination, the power of faith, and a commitment to uplifting others through his work.

Reginald’s childhood was marked by profound challenges. At just five years old, his father, a construction worker, suffered a debilitating accident, leading the family to relocate to Bluff, a rural community in southeastern Oklahoma. Despite the difficulties of growing up in a segregated and remote environment, Reginald excelled in school. After attending Lincoln Elementary, he transferred to Soper schools, where he not only achieved academic success but also shone as a talented athlete in baseball and basketball.
